While their soup bases are quite good just as they are, I always like to spruce them up just a little to make them my own.

Another night, another dinner in the Sugar Shack. This is one that is more involved, but still turned out delicious. We had crispy oven fried chicken breast tenders stuffed with cream cheese over a bed of rice, yellow summer squash with onions, and a garnish of fresh strawberry roses and sliced avocado. Yes, I enjoy serving him pretty dishes sometimes too.
I found this recipe a little while ago and have been wanting to give it a try. On our way across I-80 in the middle of Nebraska seemed like a good enough time as any. Truck stop food gets old, and we've had far too much of it lately. Thankfully, I'm starting to get back into the habit of cooking in the truck, and enjoying it again...
