BITS of Stone Creek Four
This year marks the first annual Buckeye Invitational Truck Show (BITS) in Springfield, Ohio, and boy do they have the entertainment lined up for all the show goers! One of the groups scheduled to perform is Stone Creek Four.
Stone Creek Four is a talented cover band in their own right. Donald, plays lead guitar, steel guitar, and keyboards, David on Drums, Tony on Bass, and Fred, who jokes he is the grandad of the group, on guitar, comprise this fun-loving group of musicians. As a cover band, Stone Creek Four has an eclectic sound, playing anything from country, classic rock, Motown and blues, and everything in between. Their goal while on stage is to make sure everyone has a good time and hears something they like.
For the past two years Stone Creek Four has played locally in Tennessee for various Eagles Clubs, Moose Lodges, bars, and clubs, as well as other local venues and events. One of their most fun performances, Don explains, was playing on a floating dock in the middle of a lake to a water-bound crowd of some 300 people, during the Painter Creek Marina festival. While they are scheduled for several other performances this summer for various festivals and charity benefits, BITS will collectively be their first truck show. So be sure to show them some love trucker style.
During Friday and Saturday of BITS Stone Creek Four will be performing on stage with both Taylor Barker (on Friday 7-8:30pm) and Bill Weaver (Friday 9-10:30pm and Saturday starting at 3pm). While some of you may be familiar with Taylor and Bill as solo artists, you will be in for a special treat having the smooth sounds Stone Creek Four as accompaniment.
If you enjoy your first listen to Stone Creek Four during BITS, be sure to mark on your calendar their other shows this summer, just in case your travels take you to the areas. You can catch Stone Creek Four live during the First Annual Kingsport, TN “Family Promise Back Home BBQ” benefit to raise money for homeless children the weekend after BITS. On July 7h, they will be performing at the Mt. Carmel, TN block party called “Fun Fest.” Finally, you can catch them on August 11th at the Gate City, TN “Country Cruise In,” which is an outdoor car show raising money to restore the historical theatre of Gate City.
All the guys from Stone Creek Four wish to extend their thanks to George and Wendy Parker, Taylor “TayTay” Barker, Bill Weaver, and Jerry Novak for inviting them to perform during the Buckeye Invitational Truck Show. Also many thanks to Grace Stevens from StarGazer Photography for all the images she has provided of the band.
